This books was first published in 2009 and written by Rachel’s mother, Rose.

Phantom Prey - John Sandford

First published in 2008, this is another thriller by the author.

Is there a serial killer or a psychopath at work. A real ‘who-done-it’….. Enjoyable

Harlan Coben - Long Lost

The author has written many best selling thrillers and won awards for his novels. This one was first published in 2009.

She tells him about her marriage, having a baby and the accident that took the child and now, the murder of ex husband Rick! She becomes a suspect and the story goes from jail cells and police to fancy hotels, private planes, foreign countries, together with stem cells (?) missing blonde children (?) and terrorists. What suspense, hard to put down…

John Sandford - Field of Prey

Title – “FIELD OF PREY” by Author John Sandford

The author is a prolific series writer. This novel was first published in 2014.

He wanted them young, blonde and hung around bars to pounce – taking them to the woods to rape, assault and kill before tossing theirs bodies down a well-like hole. This went on for a long time… Then his hiding place, ‘the Black Hole’ was discovered and skull after skull was found. Enter Lucas Davenport who together with local cops would investigate the killings by questioning people, checking DNA, getting “quoted” on TV and trying to follow up every lead. He had other non-related cases involving guns, cocaine and bank robbery to work on as well. After working closely with Catrin Mattssen, his colleague Shaffer is shot while out on his own and things hot up as he obviously left clues. More questioning and then ‘Bingo’! Could there be two killers???A quick easy and exciting read…

Joy Fielding - Missing Pieces

This books was first published in 1997 and I read the hard cover version available at my local library.. (the cover image may have changed over the years)
Kate Sinclair is a family therapist married to Larry, who works and plays golf, but neglects own his family. They have 2 daughters, Sara, aged 17 who is a rebellious liar and a little jealous of her younger sibling, Michelle, who is “Little Miss Perfect”
Kates mother is quite amusing and believes she is being stalked, but sadly its the early stages Alzheimers, plus she holds an ugly secret.
Then there is sister dear, Jo Lynn, a trashy dresser who attracts and marries abusive men. She now has her eye on Colin, a young good looker who has been accussed of murder many times over…
Kate meets an old school friend, Robert, who offers her a job and much more! Then the story unfolds – can Kate hold herself and her dysfunctional family together in this suspense filled novel with a twist!  A must read 🙂

The Watchman by Robert Crais

Title – “THE WATCHMAN” by Author Robert Crais

This author has written numerous novels, some of which have been made into movies and he has also written shows for TV. This paperback was published in 2007.

His name is Joe Pike and he is a man of few words. He has an old debt to pay someone and ends up having to protect Larkin Conner Barkley. She turns out to be a rich young lady who drives an Aston Martin and lives in a loft apartment, the block owned by her family. Early one morning she has a motor accident, nobody is hurt but she calls 911 to report the registration of the other vehicle. The driver says that they are all are fine and drives off, but Larken then sees the back seat passenger running away up the street.
Larkin will never forget this night as her whole world is about to be turned upside down. Lies, betrayal, lots of dead bodies and plenty action, plus Joe Pike……this book is well worth a read!
